- In this lesson, students will reflect on climate-related careers, analyze job descriptions, and consider what climate-related role they are best-suited for.
- The lesson includes options for hands-on activities, such as mock interviews, and different ways for students to demonstrate their learning.

Prerequisites
- This is meant to be the culminating lesson for the Massachusetts Climate Careers Unit; however, this lesson can be used to follow any exploration of climate-related careers.
- Before this lesson, students will need to have explored a variety of climate careers.
Differentiation & Implementation
- This lesson can be co-taught by science teachers, guidance counselors, or career skills teachers.
- When evaluating the job descriptions, students can select one of the jobs to fill out a mock application and cover letter for.
- This lesson offers a variety of differentiation options to meet the needs of many different students, and extensions to expand on the topics explored in the lesson.
- Teachers can use this lesson to make connections to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth. Teachers can also check out this resource for a green careers activity that has students consider the SDGs in a community project.
In this lesson, students will consider careers that contribute to climate solutions. Students will learn about different careers and reflect on which careers align with their interests and skills. Learning about different career paths will allow students to see how they can pursue a career that addresses climate change and to emphasize which industries climate change affects. The information presented is accurate, and this resource is recommended for teaching.
