Synopsis

Teaching Materials
Preparation:
- Note that the lecture itself is during 3:50-36:00, with the beginning used for introductions and the end used for a question-and-answer section.
- Note that some of the links under Readings and Videos and Additional Resources are broken. Check any links you may want to have students explore before assigning them.
Prerequisites:
- Ensure students’ understanding of climate change and of carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas.
- The lecture is advanced. If students will be viewing the lecture, consider having them start with this resource or start with the resources linked below the lecture.
Classroom Implementation:
- Assign sections of the fact sheets for students to review before an in-class discussion or activity on emissions in the industry sector.
- Have students watch the lecture and come to class with their questions to construct a class understanding of the lecture content.
- Use the linked content as a menu students can select one or two resources from to explore and take notes on to present to the class.
